About Mark Floyd, MD, MBA, FAAOS

Dr. Floyd is a native of Chatsworth, GA. After completing his surgical training, he spent more than a decade serving the patients of northwest Georgia as an orthopedic surgeon at the Harbin Clinic in Rome, GA. His practice focuses on arthroscopic and open treatment of problems of the shoulder and of the knee. In addition, he specializes in reverse and anatomic shoulder replacement, anterior hip replacement, robotic assisted total knee replacement, and partial knee replacement. Prior to offering surgical treatment, however, Dr. Floyd believes that healing can often be accomplished through non-operative treatment options. While being formally trained in Sports Medicine and arthroscopy, he cares for patients with a broad array of orthopedic injuries and conditions, from high-level athletes to weekend warriors to silver sneaker gardeners. With his wife and children, he moved to Fernandina Beach, FL in 2025 to join Dovetail Orthopedics after being recruited by his former residency mentor, Dr. Robert Santrock. He enjoys volunteering as a youth sports coach for boys and girls teams in many different sports and seasons, and he served as the assistant middle school baseball coach at the Darlington School from 2023-2025. In his free time, he also enjoys golfing, pickleball, and hunting.
